Description

The Trapezium photographed with the historic 12 inch f/17 Alvan Clark Refractor from 1873 in the western Dome of the University Observatory Vienna.

The Refractor was the private instrument of Alvan Clark, the famous und best telescope maker in the 19th century,  for many years and is used today from a small group of amateur astronomers to mainly image the planets. The special thing about the instrument is that it is in nearly 100% original condition.

The image is an RGB with the ASI 1600MM-P with 30x10s per channel.
